I have to say that light beam room, that is the most unexpected spot i would have ever expected to use a portal. This game is unrelentless to new players.

It does add slightly sharper lines via AA and cost a whole $10 cheaper. On top of that, I don't believe the PS3 version supports the mouse and keyboard (which if it does, ignore this part of my comment), which I find helps when aiming the portals.
