Today my husband and I just felt we needed a change. We decided to drive to Stringtown (an Amish grocery store) that is a 2 hour round trip drive but very scenic. It was wonderful just to get out for a while. The weather is finally back to normal in our area and not below zero! Today was a high of 38 degrees and sunny.🙂

Hi, Tessie. Spent my day cleaning and tidying up yesterday. Today, it's homemade soup and bread day since we woke up with whatever cold/cough is going around. You had a lot to get done yesterday; have a relaxing day today, friend. ❤

Finally feeling some relief from the cold here in Tennessee. The snow is melting and the sun 🌞is out. Feeding the wild birds and giving them water. What a joy to watch from my mobile home living room window.😊

I bought a large old fashion turkey feather duster from Ace Hardware. It works very well and fast! It reminds me of my mother's feather duster in the 50's 🦃

We did all that wood work last fall! Wood hauling now just consists of taking it from the woodshed to the garage. Dusting however, is a constant thing when you have a woodstove, but I don't mind. I'm glad you guys are safe! One of our daughters and her husband just purchased a beautiful log cabin on 5 acres which is their dream home. It came with a woodstove, so I have been teaching them the do's and don'ts of running a wood stove. My son-in-law is so excited about it! They probably won't be moving in until the end of February. They are cleaning and resealing the inside logs. The inner walls are drywall, so they are repainting those plus replacing the bedroom carpets. They are having so much fun though! I'm glad they are able to do the work before moving in. The best part is that they paid CASH so they don't have a mortgage!!

Hi Tessie, your thumb nails are great. Don't sell yourself short. I wear coats! I think the damp cold in the south is actually closer than up north. I lived in upstate NY for 14 years.
