Primero es importante realizarnos un chequeos de sangre, entre los cuales están hemoglobina, funcionamiento de los riñones, como está el azúcar en mi sangre, como está la coagulación, hacer exámenes de orina, del corazón, y pasar a cita por internista y anestesiólogo; si somos un paciente que sufre del corazón, cuando tenemos sobrepeso, debemos realizar unos exámenes extra; depende del estado del paciente se definirá qué exámenes se deben tomar, pero en general con los primeros exámenes, junto con el plan quirúrgico que se ha desarrollado junto al paciente podemos empezar a evaluar si el paciente es apto o no para entrar a cirugía.
