This was incredibly helpful. I needed a monitor and found an old one, but was advised the screen was too dark to be of any use. Connected it to power and the PC, and when I tried to use the front panel keys, saw the padlock and wondered if the OSD was the issue. Using your great video, I have unlocked the OSD and adjusted the brightness. I have a perfect working monitor! Thank you.

Thanks man life saver!.. Dell instructions said (unplug everything but power and hold the button) it only worked out if any video input was connected.. Dvi my case

The thing is that.. If you try to do the holding thing with no video input connected... The lock shows and then disappears
