bot usually take the first guarentied winning '' branch'' he found in his calculation and the reason why it usually include weird sacrifice is that those simplification limit the amount of branch and therefore find a winning ''branch'' faster

When the opponent gets a queen and your king is your last piece, you'll know that you are dead, you can't kill the queen with a king, it has the power of rook and bishop making it impossible to get to its radius with a king because king can only move 1 block

Are they really though? Maybe we just see a winning position where, if played perfectly, it's actually draw after 75 moves or something, so the engine forces a sequence where they see a forced mate.

Engines do what they're trained to do, no more, no less. And they're trained to win as quickly as possible (or try to force a draw if no mates are available).
