Mary kept all Freddie's things around her because she couldn't part with them. Now that she is older I think she wants to have control of what happens to them. My first thought is "Is Mary alright?" Her health, etc...I know how she loved Freddie and this is not for money...so I will be keeping her in my prayers...What a museum this would make. Happy Birthday next week Sherri!! I agree with you and other fans of amazing Freddie! My feelings are mixed! I wish there was a place for all his previous items to be kept together safely! I did lie awake last night thinking about his belongings will be separated! I do hope Mary is OK And it must have been such a difficult decision to part with Freddie’s beloved things from Garden Lodge! In my heart I always thought they should remain there! Very mixed feelings like everyone else😥😥. Take care Sherri! We’ll all see what happens next! I wonder what Roger and John, Brian think of this!! Couldn’t some of Freddie’s close friends like Elton help? What are they thinking about this?? Even Jim Beach-although I did read he was ill! Oh my! This really is hard to accept if this is really what Freddie would want!

Freddie LOVED Christies and Sotheby's auctions, etc. The auction part itself doesn't seem rude or crass..it is something Freddie might have chosen himself...but wow, this is out of left field...When is this going to take place?

The news gets me into a very complicated emotion… On one hand, I just cannot hide my joy and expectation on knowing that Freddie’s private collection will be exhibited in coming June right in Hongkong (HKG) where I was raised up and living … Freddie has never been to HKG in his life … On the other hand I am so so sad because these items, to certain extent, have become “Merchandise” and destined to leave Garden Lodge forever, approaching 32 years with their true owner gone….Freddie once said that he was a “music prostitute”…he was a piece of public property… Yes, maybe Mary is doing his will …Who can really understand Freddie like Mary? No matter who will become the new owners of the 1500 items after the auction … we, true fans of Queen and lovers of Freddie, have already get the best from Freddie ! All physical items will fade, but Freddie music and all memories of him are going to stay in us, with us “ until we fucking well die, I assure you “ … (actually I cannot go to sleep last night when getting this news from Sherri) …
