I've been wanting to do this to mine, but I like my little 1/4" flex-head the way it is at the same time. I may go ahead and do it, then get another one for just 1/4" use.

Good video for anyone interested in 3/8 anvils in a 1/4” body👍🏻 also for anyone interested wright tool sk as well as snap on all make similar ratchets but also I have the
Ko-Ken 2726z-3/8(160) which is a 6.3” flex head 1/4” body 3/8” anvil and it’s a phenomenal ratchet for the tightest of spaces and if you keep an eye out on exchange rates and eBay you can find them new for under 75usd (no wrnty) also the 2726z-3/8 (104mm ) is actually useful even as a bit driver with a low pro 3/8-1/4hex adapter, ko-Ken also sell specific 1/4” hex bit driver ratchets that are nice I just don’t have one of them

Check the Tone RH3CHS, 3/8 anvil, in a stubby 1/4" body. itty bitty

This will only work with the flex-head 1/4 Icons. They have to have the figure "8" style cover plate. This will not work with the regular straight body Icons or the Die-Hard or Gearwrench ratchets. The
Die-Hard ratchets will not interchange with any other ratchets that I know of. They have a thicker sealed head.
Gearwrench will interchange with Quinn. But no benefit there.
Interestingly Milwaukee and Capri CP90 ratchets will interchange but there is no benefit to it unless maybe you strip out a Milwaukee and Capri will sell you a rebuild kit.

This is the new viral fad right now lol. Literally everyone is dropping a video about this and talking about it. I actually just did it too 🤣😂😆 literally just 4 days ago. If you trim just a little bit off the spring once your done, it makes the back drag even better as well. This whole thing got me thinking about what else could be swapped around.
