FRANC's FREE SOLO

The Art of Improvisation has many sides. As a kid I was already fascinated by drummers on stage who would just close their eyes and seemingly started a solo from scratch; no theme, no plan, sometimes even no tempo. Creating sounds, inventing phrases, using dynamics, telling a spontaneous tale without words. On the spot. Wonderful to do, but in my opinion one of the most difficult things to explain to listeners or to teach to students. Respond and let me know where your mind goes while checking this video.
