I had ought a Z6II shortly after the release, and have had nagging buyers remorse of not buying z7II. I rented one and did some comparisons myself and found, except when doing extreme cropping, no real difference. Since I don't crop in post often, I gladly returned without any further worry. The slight high ISO performance advance of the Z6II seems more useful to me. You really can't go wrong with either, unless you have a very specific need for the higher resolution. That extra savings got me the Z 105 macro, so win win there. :D

I currently have the D850, which I think is a great camera, but I am seriously thinking of jumping into the mirrorless world with either the Z6ii or the Z7ii while also keeping the D850. I do not contemplate ever having both of the Z's. I can't help thinking that if I went for the Z6ii I would always be wondering what I missed by not jumping into the higher mpx Z7ii. One of the main reasons that I went with the D850 was the ability to generate super sharp focus stacking image sets. I love what I get with the D850 and I expect to be able to get the same quality from whatever Z I end up with. Based on your video it looks like I should just go all the way and get the Z7ii. The Z9, on the other hand, is a whole 'nuther kettle of fish, as they say. Much too large, too heavy and way too expensive for my intentions. Thanks for your comparisons.
