On the demise of Ratan Tata, EAM Dr S Jaishankar said, "I first met him when I was a kind of middle level in the government. At that time, we started the CEO forum with the United States. He was a natural choice as a person who was to lead it. So those years we used to work together quite closely, travel together to the US...He was really a remarkable person. I think if you look at the outpouring today of feeling, of affection, of respect, I can't remember anybody, in the world of industry who's evoked this kind of emotion among people across a very wide cross section. I mean, it is truly seen as a national loss. He was a man ahead of his time. He took the Tata group abroad in a way...."

I was always wondering why Shri Ratan Tataji was not given the Bharat Ratna. He most deserved it than anyone. He was the 'Jewel' of India & an inspiration to many.

Government should have announced Bharath Ratana to Shri Ratan Tataji when he as alive, Bharat Ratana missed that opportunity, Now Bharat Ratana should be named after Shri Ratan Tataji.

When someone goes away from the world like Ratan Tata, never try to underestimate him bringing the context of any award, because this kinda people never serve the people with an intention to get the awards, they're above any award. Just film industry and cricket world make a big race to win the award in the race of popularity, but people like Swami Vivekananda, Ratan Tata, Shilla Prabhupada, apj abdul kalam they tried to win the award of heart and humanity of this world and they succeeded too. Mr.Ratan Tata surely deserves a Bharat Ratna for the contributions he has made to our nation. As a person he was impeccable, honest, upright in his dealings & kind to all including animals.
