whereas the majority of the pictures showed improvements, what struck me was the reversal with the pictures of Baghdad.
I thought of the song, one night in Bangkok, til I saw the pictures of Baghdad.. I'm more than pretty sure I've got the cities wrong--

When I compare the buildings on Bristol's Old Market Street in 1895 to the buildings in 2020, I'm amazed at how much effort people have put into restoring their historical treasures. The structures are in remarkable condition, as if they were recovered from a time capsule.
Schuilkelder, Den Bosch (the Netherlands), and many more are other good examples.

8:36 I live in Mexico City. The house in the old picture (circa 1900) still remains, it looks stunning nowadays! The monument, at center, is The Independence Monument (aka “El Ángel”), one of the icons of the city.
