Former President Donald Trump said Sunday that "God alone" had spared him from a brazen assassination attempt, an act of political violence the likes of which America had not seen since an attack on President Ronald Reagan's life 43 years ago.

Trump, who was recovering after he was injured in the right ear when a sniper opened fire Saturday evening, vowed to press on with this week's GOP convention in Milwaukee.

A good leader puts the nation’s safety first over their own agenda. He is clearly trying to de-escalate the situation & although he isn’t the best at giving speeches I applaud & appreciate his efforts. On January 6th Trump encouraged chaos putting his own agenda before the safety of us all. That speaks volumes.
