How prepared are you for more extreme weather in Singapore?

By the end of the century, Singapore could experience more weather extremes under a worst-case climate change scenario, with more frequent very hot days, more extreme daily rainfall, as well as longer and more frequent dry spells. That is the picture painted by Singapore's third National Climate Change Study, which has given the most precise projections so far on what the nation’s weather could be like over the next eight decades. CNA’s Teresa Tang takes a look at the worst-case scenarios.

Com'on ...sg population was below 2mil in 1960, over the past 60yrs, the population grew 3fold to close to 6mil. N the govt is still pushing for the population size to grow faster. World population was 3bil in 1960 and grew more than 2fold to 8bil now. With more people using the earth resources, what do you expect?

Build more air-conned shopping malls by 2050, and connect more of the malls into "Mega-malls" with air-conditioning by 2100, then HDB can start building "Air-Con-DUs" - "Air-conditioned Dwelling Units" - instead of the current flats.
