I agree it is hard not to be foaming at the mouth when you look at the upgrades.
The outside company that is running the show has their own biometrics to determine who will win an upgrade.
The first thing I do is book the cabin I want ( junior suite). When I get email from my TA, I bid within a day or two. ( I bid on everything). I walk away and wait. Yes I do bid more than the minimum amount but not la huge amount. Bidding on suites can be limiting because of the starting bid. Gotta stay on budget 😂
