I nobly envy anyone working as a development engineer at such companies as Texas, Analog, Microchip, etc. Millions of engineers around the world don't have that chance, no matter how good they are, and millions of engineers around the world are forced to do jobs they don't like because there are far fewer open development positions. An engineer is like that when he reads, learns, creates something new every day.
