Time now for an in-depth look at the market news this afternoon.
And for that, I'm joined on the line by Dr. Yang Jun-sok, professor of economics at the Catholic University of Korea.
Professor Yang, thank you as always for coming on.
Thank you.
The Federal Reserve has made another emergency rate cut, this time to just about zero to try and soften the blow of the coronavirus outbreak. Tell us more about that decision, and do you think the U.S. is prepared to go to negative rates like Europe and Japan?
With the Fed's rate cut, we see stocks in Australia getting crushed today. The Dow futures are off a thousand points ahead of Monday's open. What's this going to do to the stock markets?
Now the question is what the Bank of Korea will do. The BOK is meeting right now on its next moves. Do you think they'll announce a cut? And aisde from that meeting, briefly, what else is coming this week?
Alright, Professor Yang.
We'll have to leave it there for today.
Thanks so much for sharing your insights.
