Not necessarily; there are enough people who stay "geeks" throughout their lives.
But BBT has made a turn towards "geeks + girls", and how even Sheldon will discover that he wants a "normal" life, which is why the series MAY be losing its charme (although the Nielsen ratings implicate, that that's not true ;-))
