The Best Secret Base in Project Zomboid

Great for backup secret base. If I have sledgehammer I will destroy a floor cell, build a fence and make a rope sheet to access the floor below.

The best base is a place in the second floor that don't have a entrace, except the window. But, to acess it you have to brake the walls or construct ladders, because It's in the second floor and have no entrace, except the window.

Seems like a dev mistake, lol. I love how they have furniture in there and everything, like the people making the room just went "huh I guess they want this one inaccessible" as they built it and then the ones decorating it were just like "this is fine" and put it in through the windows with a crane and a bucket truck.

Imo the best type of base has 3 entrances. 2 made of rope and a back up staircase that’s been blocked off. Allows for quick escape/re entry whenever needed. Having the entrances placed somewhat apart or sectioned off from each other adds an extra layer of security. Always try to find a big multi story building as well as it’ll give you lots of room for storage and farming. Hope these survival tips help!

Only a single escape is always a bad idea for any base... But more importantly zombies can destroy climbing ropes, which could be an obviously problem if you're up there and don't have your sledgehammer in the room, or more likely being outside when it happens and your sledgehammer *is* in your room :p

quite probably one of the worst possible locations. Zombies down there? You're trapped. Run out of rope? You're trapped. Zombies follow you home and pull at the rope during the long climb? You cucked. In MP it would be even worse, as you're basically broadcasting the location of a base to whoever happens to walk by. If you want to make this a half decent base you'd probably want to destroy the floor and have the rope go down inside of a room instead of on the open street. If you manage to land on a closet or bathroom it would be ideal.

a good type of base is the type where the exit and entrace is the rope, the only problem that there nothing you can do if then start camping the entrace

My Louiseville 6 Floor Penthouse has like, 75 backup sheet ropes in-case a zombie tears it down. I'm a little cautious and untrusting. :x

Also seems like a huge risk to have to climb down from there since you don't see what's awaiting you at the bottom.
