The Principles of Organic Agriculture are the roots from which Organic Agriculture grows and develops. They express the contribution that Organic Agriculture can make to the world. Composed as inter-connected ethical principles to inspire the organic movement -- in its full diversity, they guide our development of positions, programs and standards.

On April 23, 2020, IFOAM – Organics International in collaboration with the Global Landscapes Forum, hosted a digital forum that aimed to answer the question: What will happen to smallholder farmers as the trend toward lab-grown food attempts to address our current unsustainable agriculture model? The participants explored topics related to sustainable food systems, incentivization for farmers, reducing the impact of unsustainable agriculture on biodiversity and livelihoods, how to equip farmers with the skills and knowledge they want and need.
