It’s fun to watch Inoue learn from his mistakes and adapt in real time. Great mix of training and skill. He’s a real problem.

Inoue for me is one of the most exciting fighters to watch…always appreciate your videos breaking down the adjustments and the do’s and don’t in boxing…

The first round Inoue threw the fundamentals out the window just to please the massive crowd who wanted him to knock out Nery fast knowing the history of Nery and Japan, my Japanese mate was at the fight and said inoues dad was laughing at Inoue when he was coming back to the stool after the knock down. I dare say the whole team knew what he was trying to do, and by the way Inoue went back to his normal self straight away shows he didn't give a shit about what was going to happen it was just to get that huge crowd on their feet.

Always amazed how the elite boxers after 2-3 rounds they have their opponent figured out and just dominate. Fight IQ

I really appreciate how strategic and technical boxing can be. To many people it just looks like two people punching each other but there's so many things going on that they're not seeing.

Inoue is a straight killer in the ring he literally wants to end his opponents with deadly set up and counters

Nicely structured, easy to follow
Always harder to follow without video due to copyright but here there is enough screenshot to show the action you are describing so it’s ok

Yup he saw that shot coming n rolled with it with his right hook so it looked like he spun hard but it was just his own momentum, but it will still a solid hit tho

Boxers like Riggo, Inoue, Hamed, Jones Jr. younger Ali, they all did things you're not supposed to do fundamentally. That's part of the fun to watch them continuously get away with it

I can't imagine being Nery or his corner. Inoue literally took him to different depths of hell, where there was only 1 conclusion.

I don't think anyone to emulate what he does the average boxer would get killed so I'm glad you pointed this out. He makes it work but it's his reflexes and practicing that endlessly as to why it appears natural

Inoue is a boxing manga come to life. When you have power like that, you don't have to just brawl, you can set up traps.

It did not get taken down and for that I'm grateful

WOW. Great analysis. Thanks for helping me understand the fight better. Truly enlightening.

I was waiting for this for so long! Thanks film study GOAT! What I learned is that Inoue won thanks to having a better lead hand game than Nery! I always ask myself what made Inoue recapture the control of the fight and now I know why. Also that end sequence (8:03) of Inoue messing up his timing to play bullet chess with Nery is so cool! Hajime no ippo type of beat (Volg vs Mike). Probably the same situation Smash players are in a regular basis.

Asians are one of the smaller people on earth. They don’t have natural big frames. Inoue is only 5’5” and slim. He’s already moved up, fought and champion in multiple divisions. He will do what is best for him, not for a bunch of haters. They tried to push the narrative that he’s not good until he fights Tank and he has to prove in the US. Combat sports has multiple divisions for a reason. Why nobody tell Tank to move up and fight Bud Crawford or Bivol? Inoue can only fight the best fighters in his divisions and done that. In terms of fighting in the US. The Americans don’t support and promote the lower weight divisions like Japan. That’s why many fighters have to travel outside of USA to get paid. No one want to get into combat sports and fight without compensation.

Good analysis, there's so many things happening so fast we don't notice it unless it's slowed down.
