DO NOT SPRAY on the belt! Apply to the '"bearing" area of the Alternator. The bearings are dry and squeaking. If the "belt" is squeeling its because your belt is a little loose and you need to adjust to idler pulley "Tighter" just a little. If you still hear squeeling sound its the bearings in the alternator drying out because water or moisture has gotten to the alternator bearings and it just needs some oil spray with wd-40 and use the long spray straw that come with rhe can so you DO NOT oil the belt!

Shouldn't you only be spraying it on the ribbed side only?

Just tried using this while the car was on and the serpentine belt slip right off
