In addition to the size and weight of the vessel, ship launching imposes stresses on the ship not met during normal operation, and represents a considerable engineering challenge, in addition to a public spectacle.

I witnessed the side launching of the Titanic in England with my two sons, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. What great day for fishing afterwards! But the fish got agitated and all. My wife survived the sinking 2 weeks later but drowned in her bathtub at the hotel in New York may God rest her soul.

At 1:13, the person that was filming was said to have died from the wood flying from the ship to he, s face. The wood then punctured hes left eyeball, very very tragic
