That was... remarkably touching. I almost cried. Almost.

Also: I had kinda the same wish.

I didn't even bother putting up the tree this year... it's a little one, the kind you get in a crappy plastic box at a department store. It's only about a foot tall, and it has a string of LED lights that are supposed to blink... on top of everything else (2020 hit me hard, and the last roughly two months have been a particularly vicious onslaught indeed) the lights didn't work. I wasn't getting any presents -- economics kind of dictated that, even my folks couldn't buy me anything -- and the apartment's a mess. I didn't decorate, and I hardly celebrated. I did a special dinner, listened to the music, and did one other small thing that's kind of a tradition in my life on that day... that was it.

I don't have any fursuiting friends. I don't have many friends at all... most of my friends are Internet friends and even the ones I know in the furry community aren't any big names. But I would've liked to have a visit from another furry or two, suit or no suit. I'll get my tree fixed, soon... I'm good with electronics, and I know what's wrong. The part's coming in the next few weeks (depending on how the USPS works itself out on that front!) -- but I'd still like some company if I can get it.

If I can aim high... I'd love to have Fluke try and teach me to dance (lol, that won't go far) or to get a hug from Beta. I've only ever been to one furcon, and I didn't get a fursuit hug there -- I have Asperger's, and at the time, I didn't speak silent suiter gestures, so I missed the cues -- but I think, if I can arrange it, I want my first fursuit hug to come from Beta. I'd love to have an afternoon hanging out with Ash Coyote, or an hour or two with Ryu and Aki (AlphaRyuGaming) with them in their VRChat thing... or playing a game of Cards Against Humanity with Corey Coyote... I've never played Cards Against Humanity but I know enough about it that, having watched Corey's videos... yeah I'd need to be on a ventilator by the end of a half hour, almost for sure. That fellow has a gift for language, I swear he could curdle sour cream without taking off the foil seal, just by talking to it :D

But all of that's more pipe dreaming, even in individual parts, than a career plumber ever gets out. I'll take what I can get. Right now, that's imagination... at least that's one thing I've got plenty of :-/

Sorry to be all melancholy, BTW. Life... gets to me, sometimes, and this sort of sentimental stuff just kinda sets that off, as of late. Go hug somebody, they probably need it -- and consider yourself awkwardly hugged from me, if *you* need one. It's the least I can do. Ya'll all take care :)
