This video is such a breath of fresh air from these "in a minute I will tell you" come-ons that go on forever and then tell you very little

I have been taking lisonpril for 10 years to help my high blood pressure. I take a very low dose once a day and my blood pressure is normal now. I have never had any side effects from the pill. I guess I am just lucky!! Thanks for the video!!

I’ve experienced the dry hacking coughs! People during the time of COVID thought I was sick. The doctor took me off the medication immediately!

If you have weight loss and personality changes don't assume the potassium issues and cough are related to Lispriosol.
My husband had the issues listed above and some anemia.
Doctors suspected Dementia because he was 73 years old.
He went to the ER because his cough was worse at the end of June and he was weak and vomiting. He was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. Additionally he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the lungs and lymph nodes, esophagus, liver, kidneys and brain. He went on Hospice in early July and died 3 weeks later. I am still in shock.

I developed the dry cough within a week. Since I quit smoking I thought that it was my lungs still clearing out. Months later I still have the annoying cough. Thanks to this video I will be calling my doctor about switching my medicine or prescribing me an iron regime.

I was on Lisinopril for ten years. Out of the blue, I woke up one morning thinking I was getting a sore throat. I looked in the mirror and could actually see my tongue starting to swell. I was life-flighted to a good hospital. I am totally unconscious. They put a tube in my throat and put me in a coma for three days, until the swelling went down. It was very traumatizing. I looked it up and they have been trying to get it off the market. The doctor told me that it was very "touch and go". It was horrible.

Amazed that so many folks were unaware of the coughing side effect. It's very common. Usually doctors warns you of the possibility when they prescribe. And pharmacists routinely mention it when you pick it up as a new prescription.

Exactly the reason I quit Lisinopril… I was coughing so much I had a constant sore throat.

I was on Lisinopril for years and developed a dry cough so bad that I would go into uncontrollable coughing spasms to the point of losing control of my bladder. This was particularly embarrassing at work as I was an elementary school teacher and it happened in front of the class one day. Fortunately it was just before lunch and my mom was available to bring a change of pants.
I went to a doctor who knew I was on this medication but diagnosed me with asthma. A few years later I moved to another state and didn't have health care for about a month and had run out of the Lisinopril and I soon noticed that my cough had gone away. I just thought it was because our air was cleaner. When I finally got health care I asked for a refill for my inhaler. The doctor listened to my lungs and told me I didn't have asthma. He also thought I should go on HBP meds. I told him I had been taking Lisinopril then he told me that was probably the source of my cough. I had no idea and I had been taking it and coughing for years.

I had a doctor (who was a quack) that changed my long-time amlodipine to lisinopril. I was a mess. I had constant heart palpitations and I could hardly walk I was so dizzy. Even sitting on the couch, the room would spin. I've always kept track of my BP at home and my BP shot up to 190/105!! I tried to tell him that it was not for me and I thought it was doing more harm than good, but he said, "My mother took it for 50 years and it worked for her." I stopped taking it after 3 months and went back to amlodipine and felt much better. I now list lisinopril as an allergy on my medical I got a different doctor.

That dry cough kept me up for so many nights. I went to have blood drawn and the guy noticed it and asked me if I took it. I had no idea it was from that I thought it was allergies. I switched meds and been fine since!
