phase 3 is so weird. it feels rushed. no tutorial, no terror radius, no private matches. though being able to buy stuff in the store with tickets is cool

The more I think about it, the more I think this actually is a good update (mostly)

It's understandable the quality of this phase isn't as good as phase 2 (trailer/toybox-wise), since most of the Project team were brought to help with Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, but watching this vid helped build my opinions more.

Dash handles felt unfair; yes they were fun while they lasted, but if you weren't Boxy, you had no chance of catching someone who knew how to bunny hop. They'd already be at the train station within less than 3-4 seconds, way faster than running there normally. The speed boost you get from being hit/rescued is a great improvement over phase 2, and the monster can't camp hatches anymore. Both specialists just get some invincibility to not be immediately downed again, which are both significant improvements imo.

The Huggy minigame was also a neat concept, and I like the idea behind players always doing something and staying engaged. However, my problem with it was when you had to stay down there for 7+ minutes while nobody rescues you. This was a frequent occurrence for me and quite some others with us just killing Huggies, and not contributing to the team, alongside the occasional invisible Huggy death.
There were no breaks because if you took one before someone saved you, you'd die. Now you're in the hatch under a timer that takes a life every 60 seconds you're inside, guaranteeing you can die and leave with your earned tickets. This looks better for the long term, since the nature of the minigame felt like a chore if nobody decided to rescue you.

This does go in a somewhat DBD direction, BUT there are already plenty of aspects/nuances that already set Project Playtime way apart from the former. Puzzles, the grabpacks, being able to jump, the overall pace of the game, the method of rescuing players, and the in-game chat feature that existed at the time.

Speaking of chat, I still hate that's removed now. It could have been taken out to combat toxicity, but there were so many more times where my experiences with players have been positive. Someone once complimented me on my jukes against a Boxy player as they spectated me, and that felt really good. I've also had fun conversations with people in the lobby (which I think is a sin to have removed as well, but who knows, maybe they're reworking it again for future phases).

So I do like this update in retrospect, but there are still the few things I'm not fond of.

P.S. Terror radius being removed is a bug, not intentional; the likely culprit behind breaking it is the game's new sound system. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

Edit: There is a timer displayed around the heart when you're in the hatch, but it's very hard to see. The only things I wish are for that timer to be bigger/easier to read, and for other specialists to be able to see their timer.

Phase 3 at the moment is the most mixed update this game has received so far; there’s a lot of genuinely really good features introduced in this Phase and I do genuinely believe most of them are better for the game! But at the same time there’s so many features that just don’t sit right with me. This whole update feels like it could’ve been a QoL update to phase 2, they didn’t have to brand it as phase three when personally I don’t think it even comes close to the hype of phase 1 and 2 imo.

Also I mentioned that skins, that have unique sounds(like robots skins on monsters) are have an classic sound if I had no skin! Also not working commands and no sound of music, footsteps and etc. I wish they will fix that and everything will be good....

Also I hate monsters with bad internet, bc all people suffers from lagging. Take back "my game" pls :_(
