Modular sets are just the best, specially when they are super thematic. The fun part is that brings the deckbulding to villian, love craft encounters that are thematic and with lots of synergy.

I love Sinister Assault and Iron Spider Sinister 6 for thematic reasons and to get a few big minions in play in scenarios without many minions.

Flight, Telepathy and Superstrength would be at the top of my list. I love that these are just a modular that can be added to change up the difficulty. It might be too difficult, but I kind of wonder what a Four Horsemen scenario would be like if you gave each of them one of these powers and then gave the last one the Infinity Gauntlet.

The mojo mod sets really are amazing. Just beat the campaign this week with Cyclops and the theme of each mod set was just so present and rewarding. Without having a physical resource ally to take care of the messily 1 health goblin in fantasy was such a frustratingly fun problem to solve.

I love putting Symbiotic Strength into any deck just to make the villain that much more thematically scary.

One thing I love in the horror set is stakes, where its just an item and it can be used later.

I think thats a really interesting narrative space to explore in encounter decks, where an event happens and it changes how the encounter plays out.

Love me some varying 'mod-sets'.
Gotta shoutout to the 'classification' of the mod-sets too. Which allow swapping the theme of the mod-set for another of "similar mechanics".

Awesome list! I also love the infinity gauntlet, horror, fantasy, and 3 Mr. Sinister modular sets as well as Brotherhood, Sinister Assault, Sinister Syndicate, A Mess of Things, Power Drain, Running Interference, Operation Zero Tolerance, Sentinels, and Future Past.

This was great, I've really been enjoying all the Modular Set highlight videos lately as I feel like the MS are sort take the back seat to all the Hero, Villain and Campaign talk with content creators! Modular Sets make an impact and there are so many worth talking about and even more that I havent' tried. (whether it's cause I forget about them, they seem intimidating or plain ol'choice paralysis haha) Looking forward to trying some of these, thanks again.

My favorite thing about the Flight modular set is that the Out of Reach attachment made Swinging Web Kick even more satisfying. It feels so thematic to swing up to a flying villain and kick him in the face.

Speaking of vampire, I was playing an overkill Aggression wolverine with my teammate Justice Colossus. I had 3 follow throughs in play and we had a combined 9 ATK when vampire came out and I had a fastball special in my hand. 15 overkill was hilarious.

I’m a big fan of the Sentinels & Iron Spider’s Sinister 6 mod sets, though that’s mostly for thematic reasons & having lots of minions!

Great video and great list, I'm a big fan of the Kang modular set and the Future Past set. Time travel theme I suppose, but also some decent challenges.

At our LGS we played the Infinite Rhino set and that was nasty. There were a few times he would have one-shotted a hero, but my wife played Strange and I played Cap so we could dish out Tough and I could block for people.

One time when the Space stone activated, we had just refilled the encounter deck and the only minion that came out was halfway through the new deck

Good reminder to use Hood modular sets again! I pretty much hate any modular set related to GMW expansion 😂 (only positive thing was they made appreciate Starlord a lot more).
