Looked like those seats hadn't been cleaned in 10 or 15 years, or more. Good job and I appreciate your elbow grease efforts. Easier and much faster is to use Spray 9 degreaser, dollar store magic sponge very softened and soaked in water, and a nice microfiber cloth. If you spray too much it will streak on a vertical surface, so spray it directly on the sponge Spray 9 will also clean the cloth stitching, important especially if its white. Otherwise the stitching just absorbs dirty ammonia water. And don't forget to seal the leather again after you clean it.

Leather or vinyl cleaner???? Looks nice and clean

...I would definitely go back over it with a something to moisturize & protect. Otherwise, cracking / splitting may become and issue.

In this instance use your car sponge for this or cut it in half that's what I did and let it run down the base of the backrest because it can start eating the metal under the carpet as there is acidity in the glass cleaner put a towel at bottom and remove when doing seatrest, just idea but this video was brilliant if you don't have the expensive leather cleaner, 👌Cushti

Clean is not necessarily safe; the ammonia in glass cleaners may not make nice with vinyl, and there are so many other good cleaners, i.e. Krud Kutter, that aren't as harsh. MEK does even better at cleaning vinyl - once.

Coconut shampoo and a microfiber sponge in warm water. Cleans and conditions at the same time. Wipe with a microfiber cloth to get the dirt off. Shawn.

This is not a good idea!
The alcohol content of the cleaner effects the vinyl seat by making it brittle over time.
Washing up liquid would do the job equally well without causing unnecessary damage.

Question: i Have a 2022 Honda civic. It has slight mildew or mold on the back seats. The material is half Leather/ cloth seats. Any tips for cleaning that up? I heard 8 parts white vinegar 2 parts water in a spray bottle. Just wondering. My car has that funk that needs to go!

on vinyl try out this european product: "Vanish Oxi Action Intelligence Plus". Rub it decently it will clean it best possible.

Looks more like leather can get dry and crack over time if using windex... how about soapy water and a sponge...after some good conditioner
