Mine had the same issue but… I fixed it. The bracket that holds the fan motor in the center of the unit was off a little bit cause the blower to rub. All I did was pull on it to where it bends the bottom plate it mounts to and the blower clears. That’s probably why it helped yours when you set something underneath it.

In my case the white fan in the back slid off the spindle just enough that it occasionally catches properly and spins only to slide off again and into the rear radiating fins.
Gonna engineer me a fix.

Interesting, I've never heard of a Dual Inverter having that problem before. If you really wanted to you could probably buy a replacement blower wheel. That was a cool startup sound
