West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, has offered to resign in the interest of justice. This comes after junior doctors kept her waiting for negotiations, which did not commence. The doctors have demanded that the negotiations be live streamed. Banerjee has been waiting at the State Secretariat for several hours for the doctors to meet her. The doctors insist on live streaming the entire negotiation process. The government, however, argues that due to the sensitive nature of the case, not all details can be publicly disclosed.
