Rusty Old Axe Restoration. WW2 German Sapper Axe Restoration

Показать описание
This amazing find is a decent example a WW2 German axe.
The small infantry axe was worn either on a waist belt, or was attached to a satchel.
For ease of wearing, a leather case was issued to the trench ax, which was worn on the sharp edges of the pickaxe and protected the equipment and uniform from damage, and the blade with which the pickaxe was worn on a waist belt.
I hope you enjoyed this restoration.

Great restoration but one remark. The shape of the handle is originally designed for the ww1 beilpicke. this pioneer sapper hatchet had a straight handle

Fantastic Work. There’s something so satisfying in seeing that rust flake off with each hammer strike. Keep up the good work and best wishes.

Theres a channel named @MerrillCochran that steals your videos, I can't report them for stealing them but you can put a copyright strike on them and take them down

Hello, I noticed on your helmet restorations you spread wax over the helmet once it is done. Is this done to protect the helmet from further rust?

Man, i always thought you couldn't really restore items with alot of rust on them
i've only restored some lighty rusted things myself, but now seeing the methods you use, i might give them a go aswell
i still have a few groundfind M42's and M40's laying around anyway

Either way, you are doing a great fucking job!

Badge. Amazing how it looks after all that time. Evaporust or brake cleaner works great on rust .
