Saw this video pop up, and just wanted to come back and say that I watched almost all of mybringback about 9 years ago when I first started college. Especially the Android series. I had no clue what I was doing then, but these tutorials were the first ones where I felt I was really learning something. I was just promoted to a senior android developer just a few weeks ago, and these videos were really where it all started for me. Thank you to Travis and everyone else at mybringback!

I actually appreciate the way you teach this. It's rough when people dump all kinds of info on you. You don't know what to remember and what to shelf. …and the occasional joke is important because too much dry talking makes a lot of people tune out.

It's been over 11 years, and I am not gonna lie, you and Bucky Roberts helped make me who I am today. Your videos eventually led me to Bucky Roberts (TheNewBoston), which was the duo I needed.

When I started out in tech, I had no idea what I was doing for a year until I accidentally stumbled upon this very tutorial series.

Fast-forward, I've worked as a frontend developer, senior backend Developer, tech content creator, fintech engineer and DevRel.

Thank you for making your tutorials open and free. I really don't even know how to react to seeing these videos so many years later. Thank you soo much, Travis!!!!

@mybringback I love you. Seriously. I used to be a disciple of thenewboston. Then I found you. Everyone says "If you don't know Java, go watch thenewboston." But you are so much more professional, and yet, you are really cool and natural. I just find it SO much easier to listen to you. This is like tablets. Everybody loves iPads (thenewboston) because they were the first, and therefore the best at the time. Then, along came Android tablets (you) and they are so much better. Again, thanks.

My part time job was working at a computer store in Australia, we stocked Asus/Acer//Samsung laptops and note books. 80% of them in 2011 were bundled with W7/32 bit no more then 4 gb ram (I think almost every notebook was 32 bit). Around Windows 8 release date (technically a little bit before then), was when we started receiving 64 bit notebooks/laptops. I can definitely confirm that in 2011 there was still a large 32 bit pool of Laptops which came with W7/32 bit OEM licenses.

Hey, I am learning Java for my class and have about 3 weeks to learn it and then 1 more week to write a review on how easy it was to learn and how well it works. I will be using your videos to help me out and hopefully i can get through it.

Its all proportional to how much you practice and your natural talent to understand it.

Thanks man, I just started a Comp Sci course at Madison and it's the first time in my life I've ever felt truly lost, but your vids make it quite clear in comparison to our professor's lectures. Although, in his defense, he's a Ph.D student who found out he was teaching the summer course only three days before it started so I can give him some slack.

Make sure it looks like this:

public class StartingPoint {
public static void main(String trav[]){
System.out.print("Hello Will");
}

}

-The semi-colon after the parenthesis starting "Hello" is essential.
