We were fortunate to be invited to take a first look around the new Dogger Bank operations & maintenance base at Tyne Dock, in South Shields, which will soon be starting the mammoth job of running the world's biggest wind farm, using high-tech systems and a fleet of brand-new maintenance vessels - not to mention a team of around 400 staff. Fascinating stuff.

Its a fantastic project to provide green energy and some enployment to the north east, But why is this not British owned, will the British public have cheaper electric (no) profits for foreign companies again .
