Nothing like a little love and chaos on Valentines day

Eizzo (the moustache parakeet) is staying with us for a bit so we have an additional helper.

Cookie Recipe
½ cup fresh almond butter
¼ cup Unsweetened applesauce
1 large egg
1 ¼ cups almond flour
1 tsp baking soda
Food grade food dye (optional)
Sliced almonds (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl mix almond butter, applesauce and egg. Mix on high until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix to combine. Roll in balls, slightly flatten. Make heart shape with almond. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove cookies from oven but allow cookies to sit on baking pan for 5 minutes before putting on a plate. Cool and let birds enjoy!

I'll be honest, I am so jealous !! You have such a wonderful flock. These kids couldn't be more adorable. I dreamt & studied for years, finally realizing that these little Indians were the right birds for me. I waited until I retired to get myself a couple of Ringnecks, but I got scammed instead. I do have my wonderful Budgies, Loki is my oldest, then I rescued George Burns & Gracie Allen. I am blessed that, after just a year, they gave me Bonnie & Clyde. I wouldn't trade any of them. They are each so unique. Still hoping to add a couple of Ringnecks to my flock someday. Really appreciate Your sharing those precious moments with us.
