This RC 30B Light can be run via the included AC to DC Adapter or you can use an optional cable that allows the fixture to be powered via a USB-C source, such as a battery (power bank or v-mount battery with usb-port).

You are confusing fresnel lights with projection attachments when talking about beam edge sharpness.

Your reviews are usually interesting, but this one has one major flaw : this is not a light fixture fitted with a Fresnel lens element.
French engineer Augustin Fresnel invented a special lens element, in the early years of the XIXth century, to save lighthouse installations from being too heavy
His special design of this lens starts with a spherical shape. Then he had the idea of "piling up" lens elements but only using the outer portion of them, resulting in an "echelon-lens" (which is actually the other name of this thing).
Each "ring" concentrates and directs the light according to the angle it gets design with. The result : a smaller and less heavy lens element, focusing and directing the light in only one direction, avoiding the broadening effect produced by conventional spherical lens elements.
When you watch a real Fresnel-type of lens element, you see those concentric rings and grooves, and you can even feel them when touching it. Atop a lighthouse it gets even more visible, as the lens element is so huge.
This invention revolutionized the world of lighthouses, and made them a crucial gear for the safety of maritime traffic. And today, if ships can navigate safely around the globe, it is largely due to him. Radio systems have taken a major place for the last 50 years or so, but in the absence of radio systems, or for smaller boats, or in case of malfunctioning, or if sabotage occurs, a real conventional/optical lighthouse is THE thing to save hundreds of lives.
The Smallrig website never uses the word "Fresnel" on the product page, and you should too. This thing is just a (poor-quality and weak, in my opinion) focusing light projector, with nothing technically specific to it.
And the difference between real Fresnel-type and simple focusing items is enormous, because they simply do not produce the same results because they operate under different optic laws.
This is what happen with most younger persons, with a lack of proper training in Physics. And you are not to blame, this is a generational problem.
