Google Commercial Highlights Andrew Stanton's TED Talk

My family had been muting the commercials to discuss the oscars, but this was the first commercial on one of the breaks and before we could mute it I heard a few seconds of the score and my obsessive OST-loving little brain yelled "WAIT WAIT THAT WAS THOMAS NEWMAN" and I scrambled to unmute the television just in time to see Andrew Stanton. I FILLED THE CRAP OUT and spent the rest of the break trying not to cry. This man is my writing hero.

This was so lovely and heartfelt. Kudos to Google for choosing Mr. Stanton's speech!

The hallway hug is from a short film from The Most Beautiful Thing by Cameron Covell, I went took a film class with him in high school. It was shot with literally no budget, pretty cool to see it in a commercial for a multi-billion dollar corporation.
