Man, this theme just really gets you in the mood to explore the heck out of the alien planet.

The joyful tune of this song is a wonderful double edged sword. It represents safety and innocent adventure. However, every time you dip into Metroid territory, you lose that security with either ominous "bugs" in the speakers or oppressive Temple music. It's so welcoming when you come back into it but it becomes all the more taxing when you have to leave it behind.

Beat this game in the early 1990's with no nintendo power. I didn't play it hardcore so it probably took me two years on and off playing to complete. It's 2023 and surprisingly I turned on the game last night to try on my Analogue Pocket and the save is still there. Blew me away. My Link's Awakening save is no more.

Wow, this song is really good.  Like, I always heard that Metroid II had barely any music, but I never realized its soundtrack contained a song like this.  Honestly, this is definitely one of my favorite Metroid themes now that I've listened to it.
