Goodwill is SO expensive in California. Often it's cheaper to buy new stuff. I looked at canning jars a couple years back and Goodwill was selling them individually as "Vintage Jars" for $15-30 EACH. Not vintage. You can literally buy a whole box of NEW canning jars that look identical to their "vintage" ones for $13

As someone who used to work at a Goodwill, yes, that chain has lost their freaking minds! The greed from Above was, and probably still is, insane. Before I left, the lowest price for a single hardgood item was $2. That's a single donated plate as example. Not even a vintage piece, oh no no no. For vintage, you'd have to pay $3 or $4. Glad I left.
