Posting anything about these phones and NOT mentioning the software and bootloader situation is problematic. The bootloader cannot be unlocked and buyers are stuck with two years of OS updates. This should be a hard pass for everyone, not just enthusiasts.

The base model is priced the same as the fully loaded 1 + 12. It's an nice phone but, it's not better than the12. The 12 is a much better value. Furthermore, here in North America you won't have a problem finding cases and screen protectors for the OnePlus 12. Good luck finding them for the zenfone.
