We don't care about 4090s or and equivalent. We all just want a $300 or $400-500 GPU that destroys 1440p

At this point after what Nvidia does to their partners and customers, RDNA 3 would be awesome.

As a 1440p 185hz gamer I’m very excited at the potential to play at max settings, high frame rate for $400. We will just have to wait and see

Isn't the real battle fought in the 200-500 dollar segment? Who has the better 1000+ dollar consumer GPU is mostly for bragging rights.

If you want things to change, it always starts with what you can do yourself.
Stop buying nvidia.

I really hope reviewers include the AMD ecosystem bonuses like Smart Access Memory, and 1:1 Infinity Fabric Ram pairings.

“Average” everyday user’s benchmarks inherently skew towards the hegemony of intel/Nvidia systems. It’s easy to overlook how the ubiquity and familiarity of an established platform has optimizations we think of as just normal.

I feel both contexts are juicy and interesting, and I hope more AMD GPU content has benchmarks in a full Ryzen context as well.

Pretty soon we’ll have 3D-vcache, Infinity Fabric, and Smart Access Memory all having interesting memory management interplays.

An Apples to Apples comparison may not be a fair taste test to a fruit salad of synergistic technologies.

I really try to love and buy AMD products, I have been using an rx460 for yeears now and it's been great and its still holding up decently even in 2022. I recently had to put together a build for my sister, because they have to do architectural visualization at university and for anyone that is familiar with it knows that its taxing to run. I basically HAD to go with NVIDIA for these creative workloads because the fact that ENSCAPE supports rtx and dlss makes the experience that much better compared to AMD even though the raster performance is on-par. Another problem is that even though they are supposed to be cheaper, here in Romania the AMD GPUS are around 60 euro more than their nvidia counterparts

AMD has met ALL of Linus Requirements AT THREE FOURTHS THE PRICE

I think some of the comments under the 7900XT/X video on LMG says it all: people are hoping for competition from AMD so that Nvidia drops their prices. Nvidia has basically a stranglehold over lots of people, which only see Nvidia as a valid option to game. AMD had its struggels and failures, no questions. But as someone old enough to remember the absolutly brilliant ATI Radeon 9600XT, I know there are more options and AMD looks like a valid one for two generations now (I have a 5700XT in my rig at work, and at least our games works great on it ;). Maybe not if you only accept the absolute best of the best (at least according to selected benchmarks), but this is a very small market.

I hate american pricing. Because i cant just go 'oh thats 500$' but i need to add imoprt tax, sales tax and shipment costs so in the end its more like 900$

Im still on a 1080 from the launch of the card. Im interested in the 7900XTX if the review is looking good then I'm going to get one and replace my center monitor with a 1440p 144 monitor.

I'd love to get a 7900 xt(x) but that's outta my range. So ideally a 7800 xt, and more likely the 8800 xt in a few more years.

I'm not planning to get a graphics card this generation.

I abandoned ATI cards long ago because I got sick of their driver issues (which I've been told have improved a lot). However, if I change my mind, there's no way I would get an Nvidia card this generation.

Future-proofed DisplayPort, much lower power consumption, much lower price, smaller size. Even if the performance is comparable to an Nvidia 4080, it's very much worth it. If the performance looks anything like your projections, there's no point in buying Nvidia this generation.

Damn we getting an upgrade to our rna and dna? Nice, when did we get the second update? I don’t think I got that one :(

I'm holding on to the hope that the future Navi33 SKUs (RX 7600/XT) will be the next RX 470/480/570/580 mass gaming on a budget GPUs.

I really want to see AMD crush Nvidia this generation. Get them to cut it out with the absurd pricing

I spent $1K (CAD) on my 1080ti the DAY it was released, and it still worked great giving me 60fps at max settings on the NEW Spiderman game that I just finished playing on my 1080p/60hz TV SET!
I'd STILL need to care enough about Ray Tracing or UPGRADE my displays to even really take advantage of a 'better' card than my 5 year old 1080ti! lol

I’m going to do my best to scoop up a 7900 xtx. I know scalpers are going to buzzing all over it. But I’m still gunna try. I need a good 4K card to couple with my LG c2 tv. I want to run elden ring on ultra at 4K.

It seems Nvidia ALSO just assumes that most gamers already have displays that can even take advantage of these NEW CARDS? My display is still an 'obsolete' 1080p/60hz TV set, so until I upgrade to 4K or get a dedicated gaming monitor, then I don't NEED anything higher than 1080/60...
I'll worry about 4k/120 in a few years when I'm finally FORCED to 'upgrade' my display that STILL looks perfectly fine watching downscaled 4k movies from 10 feet away!

It will be interesting to see AMD make a card to fight the 4090 considering the 7900XTX is supposed to be against the 4080. If this is the performance we get for that price, I would love to see AMD make a new card maybe named the 7990XTX where it has doubled the CUs and ray tracing acceleraters and it destroys Nvidia performance tbh
