We travelled from Dubai to Melbourne a couple of months ago, Premium Economy with Emirates. For a 13/14 hour flight it was extremely comfortable and the staff were excellent. We both thought we could have stayed for at least a couple more hours!

We flew to Dubai on our way to beirut from Sydney & return. Have to say, it's worth the extra cost. Staff wr amazing, nice meals & extremely comfortable premium economy cabin👌

This is an amazing PE product and is rather well-priced. I tried looking at return fares from MEL-LHR and this product on the A380 is a good 30% cheaper than business class on the likes of Air India and China Eastern (both of which, for now, except for lounge access, are not that much better than EK's PE product).

My only gripe remains with the lack of lounge access. I wish it were available for a certain price. I can't justify paying double over an economy fare just for a better seat, while still being subject to the same economy-like ground experience.

Overall, I'd rather cough up the extra points or cash to fly business class on a good airline, or I'd stick to economy. But, if lounge access can be had for a certain price (or if I had status, like you), then I'd certainly pick this PE product.

Thanks for a very nice trip report. Emirates has one of the best PE offerings out there. Only Air New Zealand PE really rivals (and probably beats) it. Video was nicely shot with some great info provided. The music at the begining was a bit much though. Overall very nice. Thanks!

lets be clear on your message... does premium economy get access to the lounge??? If not what is this... and if yes great. Do make your message very very very clear!

Does the PE seat along the bulkhead, like your 40A seat, recline as much as the others in PE or is it restricted somewhat by the bulkhead?

Emirates Premium Economy > I have flown Emirates PE on different types of aircraft > 100% NOT worth the extra cost.... the extra cost > there is NO lounge access on either boarding or transit to another emirates connecting flight. There is no complimetary chauffeur you have on the business class. PE Food is ok. The seats are a little wider and a small extra legroom. There is no priority check in with Emirates PE. Flights are expensive at the moment, however my opinion is to travel Economy/business/first class.... That the honest take on PE class flights

Big flaw with the Premium Economy seats is when the person sitting in front of you can move the seat back at you at terrible angle. So much for comfort! 😩
