LOVE the addition of taking calls with each storyline!

The Hernandez family speaking spanish and english, going back and forth like they were, is perfectly normal in a bilingual family. It happens all the time within my family.

Also the "mami" is meant more as a term of endearment than it is "mommy."

Agree with Mike from Hollywood, Mark is my inner gay spirit animal. Loved the show today and love the phone calls between each segment.

Mark I feel yah frustration. I feel like tv shows (a majority of them) are just using the gay story-line for ratings and for a short period of time, then discarding of it with no reason...**cough..the CW 100 queer baiting its audience then killing the lesbian character with a stray bullet..**coughs**
There is basically no respect in these writers room, I would have little to no hope. It doesnt seem to be changing anytime soon. I have a STRONG feeling this "brainwashing" story is gonna end in a gay conversion...if not, great, progress?! LOOOVVEEE DISHINDAYS, U guys make my Sunday, always smiling :-)

I completely agree with Mark about the scene with Phillip and Roman because that really threw me off too since I didn't think that anyone from Shawn's side of the family, other than Victor, even knew that Shawn and Belle were splitting up, much less that she cheated again. Unless it was one of those off-camera discussions the only people that I thought knew were John, Marlena, Claire, of course Phillip, and now Victor.
It's hard for me to get too invested in Belle and Phillip since Martha Madison is leaving. Unless the actor who plays Phillip is leaving too but I haven't heard anything about that. I'm guessing that Shawn and Belle will get back together at some point since both actors are leaving. It's the only thing that would make sense.
I also agree with Mark about Shawn and Ciara not having more scenes together. I want Shawn to find out about his sister being raped. Since Bo can't be there for Ciara anymore I would at least like for her brother to be there for her.

I had a student once named Raubichaud. I thought the teasing was funny & it reminded me of my former student :) I'm with Mark (Including rolling my eyes) Get over it people.

Brainwashing the gay away? Ray Charles coulda seen that coming. And as for respecting the history of the story: these writers have no respect. Look at the way they've completely re-written the history of Maggie, her marriage to Mickey (Maggie was a virgin when they married) & her struggle to have a child & the groundbreaking SL of Maggie as a surrogate mother just so they could annoy me with this ridiculous Summer Dream Barbie SL. Bad enuf to retcon, but for the story to contradict itself in the present too?!?

Mark: It was Mickey, not Maggie, who was unable to have kids. She was a surrogate specifically so that she could have the experience of carrying & having a child. Also, Mickey and Maggie as adoptive parents was groundbreaking television at the time.

It's really a shame to see these writer destroy not only Days history, but the legacy of so much of what made Days groundbreaking.

Not holding my breath on the character of Henry. Its gearing up to be just another teenage coming out SL *yawn*

I love that they are bringing in the Hernandez family. The Spanglish didn't bother me or Gabi & Rafe calling her Mami (in fact, some of the responses from viewers on other sites and message boards and twitter who were annoyed by the use of the endearment "Mami" bordered on racist and I found THAT far more offensive), but I do agree that they're bordering on stereotype.

SO glad for the caller saying she liked Guy Wilson's Will!!! Thank you.

Days is just one bowl of hot mess. I thought when Dena left temporarily, Josh Griffith and Beth Milstein would come in and clean up the horrid mess Dena Higley left behind and all that's happened is one stupid or depressing story after another with no resolution. I feel bad for the actresses and actors the most because it's not their fault that their bosses Ken Corday and Greg Meng don't care enough if this show will even get another year for 2017-18 season. Days better get their storylines and characters back balanced. All the characters and stories are sad and depressing. The family interactions between the Hortons/Brady/Kiriakis/Blacks particularly have been abysmal and that's Days strong point typically is strong family - good,  bad and indifferent. The teens are still on way too much and it's not summertime where young people would care to see these teens. Then of course Summer - can someone throw her off a cliff already, what an irrelevant and pointless character when Maggie could had just had Sarah or Melissa back on the show. There is not one couple I care for right now. Romance, what romance in the afternoon! There is no happiness or joy in sight. No humor. It's like bad tv and it's very sad since Days was really good late in the 2015 but now the improvements are back at TomSell levels of bad at this time.
