Scott as a neurodivergent person I just want to tell you how HUGE of an inspiration you are to me and how big of an impact you’ve made to me. I always feel overjoyed when I see your content and I’m glad that there’s someone out there who I guess is similar to me. I’m hoping to get into animation soon (gonna get a drawing tablet for Christmas) and your art has always had an inspiration to me.

I do my travel art differently. A lot of the things I draw, I have to draw quickly because we’re always on the move. Therefore, I use dry media like biros, coloured pencils, felt-tips, fine-liners, and sharpies. If I wanted to use ink or paint, I would draw first, take it home, and take a picture or photocopy the original drawing, and then do whatever to it at home, taking as long as I need.
This is because:
1. Can’t handle the mess of inks and paints when the spill or get on stuff. I’m clumsy.
2. Less stuff to take when travelling wherever, whether it local or abroad.
3. I can do more drawings and quicker, making it much easier to move on from place to place.

This is much easier for me, find what’s easier for you. By the way, I don’t need to sit because I trained myself to stand and hold the sketchbook in one hand and leaning on my arm, pencil case in my small sketchbook bag on my shoulder, and drawing with my right hand. Sometimes, if I can, I find a wall that I can rest my book on and draw or find a place to sit. However, most of the time I’m standing and it makes me more alert and focused on what I’m drawing, if I’m sitting I’m relaxed and I get distracted then.
I also have autism, and I’m starting university on Monday, and I’m doing an Art and Design 3-year course degree.

I am sorry for commenting this so late but I have a suggestion for the watercolor markers. Have you tried using them like regular water colors to dial down the amount of color. It might work because I usually use regular markers as makeshift watercolor and I was thinking it might just work.
