yk, the Thermaltake Versa H18 is 44 bucks rn
with an arctic p12 5-pack, you get some high performance value fans for $35. That's a really good-quality case with plenty of airflow, really good cable management space, excellent hardware support, one included stock fan, and a tinted tempered glass side panel with 5 fans for 80 bucks. Alternatively you can just grab a 3 pack of Thermalright fans for 12 bucks and hey presto, you got a hella good case with 4 fans for 56 dollars. One of those is definitely the route i'd go, as long as you're good with MATX.

It's dirt cheap? Well it needs PCDC to get rid of the dirt!

i bought a Rosewill S500 prism in 2020 for $75 and today its $60. Comes with 4 rgb addressable fans. Depends on where you look how good cases for cheap can be.

About two years ago, I was building a budget, budget, budget build. I was pretty pleased with the very cheap Montech 2. For about $30 it had tempered glass and came with 3 fans. I believe Greg's built in the Montech too, so check them out if you are looking for a cheapo case that actually looks pretty decent. I had a few quibles with it, but overall fairly please for the price.

I don't think $60 for a case is dirt cheap. That's a budget case, if it's dirt cheap it should be $20-$30

One man's trash is another man's treasure..still saving up for a rig. These kind of videos are so helpful.

So weird because I just put together a build today in this case.

Definitely not the worst case I've ever worked with but you have to be extra mindful when it comes to building. Acrylic is notorious for how easy it is to scuff or crack, the front fan rail system is weird with the spacing, the PCIE punch out brackets punch out exceptionally easy and the extra stand offs which are included in the baggy don't have great threading.

I saw the molex connector and threw it in the drawer of lost components.

Overall for the price and cooling performance it was still "fine" and for someone just looking for a ATX gaming box on a budget.

in my place, this would be considered an utter garbage due to the $60 price tag lol

there are so many options below $50 with actual tempered glass side panel, and some even comes with PWM fans

I will admit that those Reference Radeon cards really do look pretty slick.

I dunno why people are willing to cheap out spending whatever $10 bucks more on a case when it doesn't really buy them an upgrade on any other area

My favorite sub $60 case is the Thermaltake Versa H18 tempered glass case. It's a mATX case but it's pretty good on a budget.

I will continue to build in my Corsair Vengeance c70 case until it falls apart. $75 for great airflow, durable construction, and easy transport for lan parties via the handles on top of the case. Shame it was discontinued.

Montech may make a better choice, for example right now online it is $79.99 for the Montech AIR 1000 Premium Black ATX Mid Tower Case /3 x 140mm, 1 x 120mm ARGB Fans included from Newegg... Or if you don't mind fixed RGB fans you could go with the Montech X3 Mesh 6pcs, 3 x 140mm& 3 x 120mm Fixed RGB Lighting Fans for 59.99 and both have hinged glass side panels...

Or go premium with the LIAN LI LANCOOL II MESH C RGB BLACK Tempered Glass ATX Case - Black Color, Type C Included- LANCOOL II MESH C RGB-X for only $99.99 direct from Lian Li... I use this is the black mesh performance version (no rgb)... $80 for a cheap case with cheap fans or go $80 to $100 for good to premium case?

It looks clean and simple.

I just don't like the acrylic side panel. I think it would've been better if it was a perforated metal sheet.

Having a microcenter near me is a blessing. Got an open box lian li 205m for 51 bucks. Comes with two 140 front fans and glass side panel.

I got an black Fractal Pop Air for $63 shipped from Newegg recently. I have an rx 6700 10gb in there and it could accommodate a much longer card. I am happy with it considering the optical drive bays and price I got it at.

There are good cases with tempered glass for less. The Thermaltake Versa H18 is one that I've bought recently, and it's currently on sale for $44 with free shipping. I would rather avoid the acrylic window at this point, lol...

Some of the cases Montech has coming out are near this price range and have far better specs/quality. I think they could really be the go to for anyone building a budget PC.

if you want a cheap case I recommend the montech mesh eatx. $55. I got one for a temp case till the one I wanted was back in stock but I ended up not getting the other one because this one is pretty good and id rather spend the money on other things. it came with 3 argb fans, plenty of extra hardware, tempered glass. plenty of room inside for hiding wires, gpu, hard drives etc. and it comes apart easy for cleaning. we live out in the country and dust is always everywhere so I have to clean the pc out about every other week.

It’s wild that you could get a fractal design pop air in white for 44 dollars a month ago. I thought this would be cheaper than 60
