I'm 17 and my first love of 3 years just left me very out of the blue. We had both prayed about it before we started dating and our relationship was very healthy. He was my best friend. But now he's gone. 3 weeks after he left me my cat(which he named) got hit by a train and died. All while I was in the middle of my final exams and in the process of moving. All this happened within the span of a month and I was so lost that it was hard to read my bible every day, but no matter what, I worshipped. I spent hours each day in worship. I remembered Job, when he went through trials he worshipped. I've cried for hours at this point but as much as I want to sit there and ask God why, all I repeat is God I trust you and I repeat scripture out loud, declaring all His promises over me. And its hard. It hurts to say those words and the uncertainty of my future makes me really afraid. But i know that right now being afraid isn't an option. The devil doesn't get to win, he doesn't get to steal my joy or kill my spirit. Whatever has been taken away from me I know that God will restore it, better than I can ever imagine.
