Those little straps are so helpful! Handy for wrapping up sleeping pads, blankets and other camping gear. Great idea using them to support this case. It definitely looked sketchy without it.

That's a great hack I used to have the burgundy one and did bust a globe years ago cause of the case.

I remember being a kid and my dad telling me to push in tabs after fishing to make sure the case didnt unsnap and drop our lanterns😅

Just broke a lantern when it fell from one of these junk cases. Clamshell cases are on ebay.

I had the same worries with my Northstar and this has solved it. It just so happens I have loads of straps as well lol. Thanks for the video, life saver tip. One question, how do you get that bloody rubber stand off the lamp?

🇺🇸🙋‍♀️🐴🍃 Great hack brother! But wasn't that case red? Mine are in a case like that, but shorter and a little wider, because they don't carry fuel with them, so I haven't had a problem breaking so far all these years.

Very cool idea Dom! I have had one of those before and yes the lantern fell out. I don't have the lantern or the case anymore but this would have been great. I might even put one around the clamshell one I have now just for some added security.

Yeah brother, that’ll work. I’d be kind of worried too that the bottom might drop out. With my luck, I’m sure it would. Lol.

Ya, that tab system is a very bad design. Lost the bottom on a propane one that let loose and the globe ended up in 100 pieces.
You put a small screw through the webbing into the bottom, cuz ya know you will misplace that strap at some time.

Hi Dominic 😀, I agree whith you, those cases are an accident waiting to happen, your lamp could be trashed if the bottom fell out whilst carrying it, your solution is an easy fix, it ain't going to fall apart now.
