RECENT Bigfoot / Sasquatch encounter in South Carolina (August 2, 2022)

Eyewitness Dr. Bob Frady describes the recent encounter in Hunting Island State Park. He and his brother and sister were exiting the lighthouse area on North Beach Road when they saw a sasquatch retreat from the edge of the road back into the thick brush. This occurred in full daylight around noon. The creature was 5-6 tall. Dark fur. The witnesses were approximately 20 feet away when they saw it.

I was absolutely floored when I heard this news being I live just 15 mins from there. I live at the end of a dirt road with very few neighbors. Before I heard about this sighting, my daughter & I were checking on kittens on our screened in back porch on August 15th around midnight and she said she said something that she could only describe as a bear on our back deck. It was at the bowls of cats I feed and it jumped from a standstill over a 3ft railing then touched the ground and jumped a chain linked fence. She was so frightened. I ran to the woods with headlights and weapons. But later that next day all I could do is think about what she saw. A bear? At the beach in south Carolina? Didn't make sense. She's an avid hunter and Fisherman and we stay in the woods and when she said it wasn't a deer, dog, or hog I have to believe her and especially her reaction to it. She said it was the size of a bear with dark longer hair. She only heard it making a loud nasal noise. A few days later I asked her if it was the size of a juvenile sasquatch and she just looked at me wide eyed and replied yes. I think I'm going to move a few cameras to that area and keep a look out.

I know this man, he is a Doctor, he's not a loony. I've been friends with his son for years and they are a down to earth family. Basically this is an extremely credible witness and and he would have no reason to make up a story. I know what I'm saying has been repeated hundreds of times about witnesses but it's true. If Dr. F. said he saw a sasquatch then he saw a sasquatch.

I was just there yesterday, and I 100% believe them. I live about 90 min away.
I live in Effingham County, GA.
In 2017 we saw what looked like a giant sloth run across a country road at night approx. 15 min from my house. A co-worker saw what she described as a "large Aboriginal covered in hair" approx. 10 min. from my house not long before our sighting.

My name is Robin, I'm writing this through my husband's account, in November 1977 when I was 12, my family went to Hunting Island we arrived early in the morning it was still dark, my dad parked the station wagon near the lagoon, long story short I experienced a sighting of something similar to this man's story but the thing I saw was so much taller than what this man saw. Our car was parked and this thing stood in front of our car. I was terrified, I 100% believe this man's story and was excited when my husband mentioned another sighting at Hunting Island, in a way it confirms what I experienced as a kid.

Can't believe I am just learning about this now. I just read an article about a sighting in July I believe about maybe ten minutes from me in lake Wylie/ Clover SC area and read also about this sighting. First time I've heard about sightings in SC, very interesting to hear your story and to read the comments.

In 1977 my best friend and I and our boyfriends had been out and her curfew was at midnight. So he took her home and sat in the driveway until about 1-1:30am We leave to drive about 4-5 miles to our town. There was an intersection where Old Summerville Rd, College Park Rd and Meyers Rd all met. We came out on the road right before the intersection this THING came out of the woods on the right, 3-4 steps was across the 2 lane road. Completely across the road and disappeared into the woods on the left side. It was huge, long arms, sort of hunched at the shoulders. No one said a word for about half a mile. I finally said did y’all see that? What was that? We all agreed that we had seen the same thing. BIGFOOT. 1 of the boys dad was the police chief. We went straight there and told him what happened he said “ never ever tell anyone else this story, UNDERSTOOD?” I never talked about it until much later. That area isn’t rural anymore neighborhoods and businesses. I often think about that night and what happened to the thing in the road.

I live in Pickens county sc have had 3 sighting 2 in my county and 1 in Greenville county.Greenville county was at wild cat falls on hwy 11

I know the coastal areas of NC right up the road have a surprisingly high population of bears...the description somewhat sounds like a medium sized one but who knows.
