People tend to forget how important salt is and how expensive it was to produce without industrial equipment. It was used to preserve food, enhance flavor, and multiple other important stuff that we take for granted. In fact, and a little bit of a fun fact, salt was used as a salary for the Roman Legionnaires they used to call it "salarium" in Latin, that's where we got the word "salary" from. It was that big of a deal during ancient times.

So uh... yeah. Not really that much disturbing considering how important it was. In fact, every time I see one of these uncanny videos, it tends to lean towards just interesting facts and not the uncanny or creepy.
