The Last of Us Part 1 Remake vs Original - 10 Biggest Differences You Need To Know About

A lot's been said about The Last of Us Part 1 and whether or not it's different enough from the original The Last of Us to justify its existence, much less its price. Of course, we can't really answer that question until we've actually played the game, but though there's disappointment out there over some of the heavily requested features the game isn't going to have, the developer has confirmed that it will have plenty of changes and improvements beyond that.

As we count the days down to the launch of The Last of Us Part 1, here, we're going to talk about some of those changes.

As a disabled one-handed gamer I'm most excited about the accessibility features. If I could auto aim or aim assist or whatever you call it it would make it easier for me to play. While I can still play The last of Us there are sections like Bill's trap where I cannot get past that without help because my left arm doesn't work. So for that reason alone the $70 price tag is worth it for me. To be able to play something completely on my own independent and beat it I won't feel like I accomplished something. How things affect the disabled people is something most people don't consider it's simply I don't need to use this so it doesn't matter to me. But have somebody who does need the accessibility controls I am happy about that

I would've loved to see this at $40 or so. $70 isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but charging the same amount for this as a brand new IP is insanity.

Come on...there aren't actually 10 differences, there's literally 3.
Better graphics
Modernised Controls
No Factions

Not impressed with this list. Model Viewer, Permadeath, stuff like this is literally the 'special features' of a DVD back then

The AI will barely be noticeable. I doubt anyone would really notice anything if they didn't say anything. they'll flank you a bit more. OK? And the buddy AI is a nice tweak but since the game already operated with NPCs not noticing them for the most part it's not such a big deal that now they act less stupid when the enemy didn't do anything when they ran in front of them before.

Let's be real. The main draw for this game is the graphical upgrade. Accessibility is nice but how many players do you think are really going to buy this game who couldn't play it before? Permadeath and workbench animations? Who cares? Model viewer? I guess that's nice but it's not a selling point.

A kind of a dick move by Sony to charge $70 for it. Bastards know that people will buy the game regardless.

It all comes down to price.
If it was $50 people wouldn't be complaining.
They didn't show anything that justifies the $70 tag, specially when you consider the original is playable on current-gen consoles, and the visual upgrade makes it look like the PS4 Part II, a last gen game. There was nothing next-gen visually.

They should have added Hot Shots Golf in this game as an unlockable.

Just like Sony milking this franchise for more money Gamingbolt is also going to make sure they get as much money as they can off endless videos on it

How much are they paying you guys to push this game? This video is almost exactly the same as the other video you put out “15 things you absolutely need to know about the last of us remake”

Hardcore fanboy is protecting the game, but as a rational fan, I still find this remake as a cash grab because the upgrade features can be added into the remastered version instead of making a separate game and the ps 4 version already has good visual.

I still can't believe Sony is charging full price for this. Talk about highway robbery.

But bruh I can’t justify the price… I’m a hardcore fan but damn!

People complaining about the price.
Here’s an idea, don’t buy it.
Wait for it to go on sale. It’s not like it will cease to exist because you didn’t buy it day 1.
I totally get where you’re coming from, but it’s not like anyone is forcing you to buy it.

Didn't play the original, still, though I have the Remaster and Part 2 on Plus. I see NOTHING here worth paying $70. A $10 upgrade to have a PS5 native version of the Remaster, maybe.

Totally don't care AT ALL about costumes, weapon skins, etc.

Having mouse aim is the only change I need when it comes to PC

The most unnecessary release in history. And this is my favorite game of all time.
