The Future of Sports YouTube.

This video would absolutely not be possible without the new NFL Access Pass program, which is a joint effort between the NFL and YouTube directly. They both want to change how sports are watched and consumed across new media, and that starts with giving creators the resources to...and I'm directly quoting here..."just make whatever cool stuff we've always dreamed of making".

This program is about to change the game, and I CANNOT WAIT to show you all what I have coming later this summer. The future is now, and it's very, very bright.

Just to give you guys an idea of how insane this NFC Access Pass is, I asked them last week for every single Colts All-22 file from the Mid 2000s so I could make a video comparing Marvin Jr to Marvin Sr, and they sent it to me within three days.

We're about to make some REALLY cool stuff with this, guys. I can't possibly express how excited I am.

Dude. Im 4 days from releasing my first draft coverage youtube video. It covers 20 wide receivers. This came at the perfect time. It feels like a message from up above. We fucking love you, Brett Koleman.

What I find so interesting about this topic is how much you are at the center of it without realizing it.
While you talk about your struggle to understand the process and build a brand, I see so many other channels that are growing based on your model.
You have become the standard that football YouTube has set. I see so many other creators trying to copy what you do, but in their own way. From the thumbnail to the cadence. To editing and audio production.

As someone who has been watching your content for years, I can't understate how amazing it is to see the impact you've had on the industry. And now to hear you lay out that formula for the next group of creators is really impactful. I've honestly never been more excited about the future of NFL centered content. Keep up the good work. 👍

Hearing you talk about how you, as an under-30, felt the weight of your own career as a content creator on your shoulders, and that you need to take a step back and give the younger up and comers some advice, is humbling.

Brother as most of us aspire to do just a quarter of what you’ve accomplished so far - This video was informative, inspiring and above all, it was real.

You’re the man. Thankful for your knowledge and how you’ve changed the game. Keep doing your thing🤞🏼

Hey Brett, I don't often comment on YT videos, and have no intentions of uploading. I just wanted to say that as a fan of football in general, I've been following your channel (and the Bootleg podcast) for a while now, and it is awesome to see both your gratitude and willingness to help others! I think a lot of what you said can apply to life in general. I'll be looking forward to more of your content. Try not to be too harsh on my Cowboys. ;) Keep up the great work!

I've been following Brett for YEARS (I remember that Harrison Smith video releasing) and he's partially why I started YouTube. I'm in a completely different niche (D&D) but all of his advice is spot on. This is stuff I wish I'd known a long time ago. Audio, thumbnails, and getting a great first 15 seconds to a video are what really separates people with 1k vs those with more. I've still got a long way to go but please know, no matter what content you're making, this still applies. It is fantastic advice that will absolutely help you succeed.

Thanks Brett for providing background audio during so many video editing sessions. EJ and you were my lifeline this summer (I released 31 videos in 31 days last July). Videos like this are why you're awesome

Edit: Finished the video. The getting 1% better thing is also very real. My first 100 videos SUCKED but I got a bit better with every one of them. Also to 200 videos and so far it is a night and day difference between video 100 and now. Again, literally all of what he's saying is accurate.

I've followed your path very closely because I love your content and nothing like that existed in Spanish. From being a PA in a mejor sports media outlet to quitting to do my own thing in YouTube, I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration, I've used your lessons to believe in myself. Youve helped me gain more confidence and focus on doing what I love the most, not trying to be someone else to be more succesfull. Today I was really doubting myself and your video came at the perfect time.

Brett, the thing I struggle with is writing stories. I think this is something you are great at even this. When I talk to a camera I can only think about one sentence at a time. Yet here you are telling a story through out the day and it sounds great.

Thank you for being you, Brett. I discovered your channel during COVID lockdowns when I needed something new to entertain me to replace the missing social interaction, events, etc. I've been a football fan for years but never knew Xs and Os until I met smart Youtubers like you, JT O'Sullivan, etc. Thank you for all that you do to elevate football discussion and entertain us.

Don't underestimate the use of good music to underlay videos. Often, I just like the relaxing sound between good content, to ease the mind and perhaps let the knowledge sink in more smoothly... Well done, Brett. Everytime.

Without a word of a lie, this is the most important program that I've seen coming from a sports league when it comes to evolving coverage into the new era.

We all know how respected you are in the community for your talent and content, but what always stood out to me is how much people praise you for your genuine love and care for the community. I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you for this video. So many of us smaller creators are always looking for advice like this, and I know we over here really appreciate it. Thanks for being one of the good guys, this video helped us out a lot and we will definitely be implementing this advice!

It's impossible to know who someone really is based on YouTube videos, but I feel confident in saying... you're a good dude, Brett.

I’m at 16 and I just created a channel it was something I wanted to do for a long time but I did not feel the determination to continue. I made 2 videos and expressed my honest opinion on players and the comments got to me. this video brought my determination back thanks for the tips. Love the content as always

The Grind is hard im almost 60 film studies in & a series called "Sliders" I'm very proud about that covers these players in depth. Its been a bumpy road for us but I'm glad this video came out when it did. You're an inspiration to me Brett and now that I've done media at several events and learned these lessons over the years, I appreciate that you know the hardships and are still trying to get better. I appreciate you and I'm sure a lot of us smaller guys are! Thanks man.
