Density of states

The density of states is the number of energy states available per unit energy per unit volume. In this video I explain conceptually the concepts behind the density of states, and derive the expression for the density of states of conduction electrons in a solid. I briefly discuss a few uses of the density of states expression.

Please keep making more videos on Quantum Mechanics. Very precise and the recaps aid in making everything more cohesive

I got your book. very great idea for describing in video with the book. Thank you that making me more understanding.

Hi Prof,
Ns/L^3 means both total electrons per volume and total electron states per volume, since each state can only hold up to one electron. Is that correct?
